Hi Capt, I found information at the Huxford Library in Homerville that said Alexander Brantley was the son Eliza Brantley evidently widow of unknown Brantley. Said Alex was baptised 8/31/1870 at homerville Baptist Church. Identified that Alex had married Mary McGill daughter of Thomas McGill. Identified three Children Alex, W.H. b. abt 1853 and W.D. b. 1862. This seems to be contrary to the info I received from you last time. That being, Alex was the son of Gideon and Elizabeth born in Washington County. You also indicated that a Gideon resided in Pulaski County. I have been unable to get any information (census or otherwise from Pulaski by internet. So what do you think this info means? I am still trying to assure a connection to Gideon. In 1850 Washington Cty Ga a Gideon, six Elizabeths and a John S. were listed. I found a marriage license for Gideon Brantley and Eliza Shise Washington Cty. Dece. 21 1847.
