William Tomlinson(Theophilus) Brantly b 23 Jan 1787 d 28 March 1845. Son of Willism Brantly, Grandson of John Brantly who settled on 880 acres along Rocky River in 1749 and had 11 kids A wealthy neighbor sent william T to college in 1804. After college he went to Augusta Ga and in 1826he became Pastor of the largest Baptist Church in the country. (From courthouse records in Chatham county NC )
